  • How many scholarship recipients will there be each year?
The number of scholarships we are able to award depends on the amount of community support we receive! We find that 3-4 flight lessons are typically sufficient for aspiring aviators to know whether or not this career is the right fit. It is our goal to award scholarships of $1000 each, to cover all expenses of the initial 3-4 lessons the student should need to feel confident in their decision to pursue further flight training.
  • I am in the National Guard/Military Reserves. Can I still apply?
Yes! While we are mainly targeting the active-duty community, we are more than willing to consider National Guard/Reservist applications.
  • I am already taking flight lessons and know this is the career I want to pursue. Can I still apply?
Yes, please do. While we are hoping to expand the community of active-duty military members in the aviation community, we are more than willing to support the dreams of those already working towards their PPL, CFI, CFII, ATP, etc.
  • Why are donations going through GoFundMe?
Enlisted to Aviator's ultimate goal is to become an official, 501(c)(3) nonprofit. However, the high costs of registration and setup are beyond our operating budget at this time. In the interest of providing scholarships (rather than funding registration) with the first set of donations we receive, we are currently routing donations through GoFundMe. To expedite our progress towards official registration as a charity and continual support for aspiring aviators, consider a donation.
